April Moon Talk: Introducing Artemis! Navigating independence & making our way back from the shadow spaces
In the realm of myth and legend, nestled within the luminescent glow of the full moon, lies a timeless tale passed down through generations. It speaks of the Moon Weaver, a celestial being whose delicate hands meticulously craft the patterns of light that dance across the night sky.
As the full moon graces the heavens this month, the Moon Weaver's lesson emerges from the depths of mythology, offering wisdom to those who seek it. It begins with a story of transformation and the beauty found within the cycles of change.
Long ago, there lived a young weaver named Selene, whose heart overflowed with a desire for perfection. Every night, she painstakingly spun threads of moonlight, striving to create the most exquisite tapestry the world had ever seen. But no matter how she toiled, her work remained flawed in her eyes.
Distressed by her perceived failures, Selene sought counsel from the Moon Weaver, a wise and gentle spirit who dwelled among the stars. With a voice like a melody and eyes filled with ancient wisdom, the Moon Weaver listened to Selene's woes and offered her guidance.
"Dear child," the Moon Weaver spoke softly, "perfection is not found in flawlessness, but in the harmony of imperfection. Embrace the ebb and flow of life, for it is in change that true beauty resides."
In that moment, Selene understood. Like the phases of the moon, life is a series of transitions, each one revealing its own unique splendor. The waxing and waning of the lunar cycle mirrored the rhythms of existence — birth, growth, decline, and rebirth.
With newfound clarity, Selene returned to her loom, no longer seeking perfection but instead surrendering to the flow of creation. She wove the threads of light with joy and acceptance, embracing each imperfection as a testament to the richness of life's tapestry.
And so, as the full moon graces the night sky once more, the Moon Weaver's lesson resonates with all who gaze upon its luminous beauty. It reminds us to embrace the changes that unfold in our lives, for within them lies the true essence of our journey. Just as the moon waxes and wanes, so too do we grow and evolve, weaving our own stories into the fabric of the universe.
Prepare for Renewal: Spring Equinox Gathering!

Join us as we gather under the Worm Moon to celebrate the arrival of spring and the awakening of the earth from its winter slumber. Mythologically, this time of year is known as the time of the great return from the underworld, when all of the deep work we did over the winter finally begins to come to fruition. This month we will be welcoming spring by learning about myths of death and rebirth.
This gathering will include a lesson about meaning of the many versions of resurrections and rises from the underworld, briefly exploring the similarities and differences between some of these motifs including the resurrection of Christ, the ancient Egyptian myths of the re-membering of Osiris, and the Greek goddess Persephone, who emerges from the underworld to herald the arrival of spring and the return of life to the earth (those of you who attended my Winter Solstice events will recall when we followed Persephone into the underworld!).
This event is the first of the ten monthly Moon Lessons series at Raleigh City Farm. Mythos Members will receive a written deep dive into the archetypes of death and rebirth including a replicable teaching on the most powerful myths of transformation, how to use these stories for personal transformation in your own coaching, therapy, or wellness practice.
